v1.1.alpha01: presenting guppy

04 Mar 2011, by Erick

We’ve been coding hard to move forward with the next version of pplacer. All of the non-pplacer-core functionality is wrapped into a new binary called guppy. Some of the old mokaphy and placeviz functionality isn’t back in there, but there is some new nice stuff! In pplacer itself, alignments can now be presented as a single file, rather than separated into reference alignments and query alignments. The file format has changed over to JSON-based format which we hope to share with the Exelixis lab.
